Wayne West, III
Vice President of Hotel Performance
Wayne West, III is a 25-year hospitality industry veteran with a wealth of experience. He has held several positions as a General Manager primarily in the Carolinas, Virginia and Florida, as well as Regional Director of Hotel Operations supervising properties on the East Coast, Midwest and southern U.S. Wayne started with Victor Management in 1979, which was later acquired by Lane Hospitality.
Wayne's specialty is resort management, concentrating on East Coast beach and golf properties. In 1986, he supervised the opening of the Melbourne Beach Hilton, from ground-break to opening, and he also re-opened the Hilton in Jackson, Mississippi, a $12 million renovation. He is experienced in corporate hotel structure and union management as well.
Wayne attended East Carolina University. He completed the Holiday Inn University General Manager's Program, and has been named a Certified Hotel Administrator by the American Hotel Motel Association. He has been active with the Chamber of Commerce in several cities.
