Lane Hospitality Hotels Receive Top Awards

Northbrook, IL (Dec. 7, 2009) – Branded hotels owned and/or managed by Lane Hospitality of Northbrook, IL – one of the nation's leading management companies – have been recognized with several prestigious industry awards for 2009. Among them, InterContinental Hotels Group’s (IHG) “Torchbearer Award,” its highest honor for quality and excellence in customer service, went to the Crowne Plaza Bloomington.

IHG 2009 Torchbearer Award
Crowne Plaza Bloomington is one of just 90 hotels chosen from the IHG system of more than 4,300 for achieving he highest levels of excellence in all aspects of operation – from quality to customer satisfaction. Its contemporary design by renowned architect James Dayton includes guest rooms with high technology, an outdoor reflecting pool and the popular north restaurant & lounge. The hotel was featured on NBC’s Today Show for its unique women’s floor and named one of the Best Airport Hotels by Business Week Online. It was also rated a top hotel by the Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal and received IHG’s Meeting Service Excellence Award.

Hotel Indigo® Chicago-Vernon Hills, IL
This trendy hotel that opened in 2008 on Chicago’s North Shore received two prestigious awards from IHG : the Priority Club® Excellence Award for overall guest satisfaction and the Renovation Award for its major renovation program. It is one of just 19 hotels selected for the Priority Club Excellence Award from a portfolio of more than 4,300 hotels, meeting the highest standards of quality and customer service.  The stylish 100% non-smoking property provides guests with an environment where they can rest and recharge in comfort. IHG 2009 Newcomer Award

2009 Spirit of Hilton Award
Assistant Front Desk Manager Keli Misak received the “Spirit of Hilton” award, the highest honor for a Hilton team member.  Misak brings home the gold by making a positive impact on guests, teammates, the hotel and community. The Hilton Grand Rapids was fully renovated in 2007, and features 226 accommodations . Hilton Jackson Hotel – Jackson, MS
2009 DiR ōNA Award
Huntingtons Grille at the Hilton Jackson earned the prestigious DiR ōNA Award(Distinguished Restaurants of North America) award for its top quality and distinguished dining. The restaurant was part of the hotel’s multi-million dollar transformation and recently appointed celebrity Chef Luis Bruno, former Executive Chef for two Mississippi Governors’ Administrations, as its Director of Culinary Development. To date, less than 800 restaurants have earned the DiRōNA.
